The University of Florida Gator Swim Camp is a developmental camp designed to teach swimmers proper technique and provide quality training to swimmers of ALL abilities ages eight and older. The camp emphasizes technical skills, training habits, and mental preparation as well as the importance of health and fitness in a structured, fun, and enthusiastic Gator environment.
During the camp, there will be two training sessions each day including dryland workouts for strength improvement and stretching exercises for injury prevention. Each camper will receive specific, hands-on instruction for each of the four strokes, starts and turns. There will also be lectures on each of the four strokes, nutrition, sport psychology, and special talks given by Olympic champions! At the end of the week, campers will receive a DVD of their stroke analysis.
