2010 Boys Lobo Basketball CampsNew MexicoAlbuquerqueBasketball Camp$75-150The University of New Mexico Women's Basketball program has a wide variety of camps that will suit any young player's needs. Coach Flanagan is a master of teaching the fundamentals of the game of basketball and he stresses that in our camps. By coming to camp and taking away some simple skills that you can practice at home that will make you a better player.

For the younger players we have Day Camp, June 5-8th. It is a half-day camp and the morning is dedicated to girls only and in the afternoon we have added a co-ed camp. This is a new idea this year and we wanted to include boys, because they need to learn the same fundamentals of the game to become better players. Day Camp is organized for 6 to 12 year olds.

We have also added a Team Camp for high school teams of all levels. The response has been tremendous and we already have 52 teams committed. Team camp will be held in the pit, the brand new Rudy Davalos basketball center, and the Johnson center on main campus. The tournament format camp will take place June 9th thru 11th.

We also have Individual Camp, which is also half days and follows the same format as day camp. Individual Camp is for girls 8 to 17 years old. This program is geared toward the beginner and intermediate players and will take place on June 12 thru the 16th.

Position Camp is our high school individual camp and is our only overnight camp. It will take place June 20th-22nd. We will have a lot of talented high school players in attendance and the camp finishes each year with an all-star game.

Finally in August we have Shooting Camp for all ages. This camp concentrates on individual offensive skills and will be held August 7-9th. Shooting Camp is a great way to end your summer and get ready to go back to school.

Full Day Camps

These camps are designed for boys and girls between the ages of 5-15. The Learning Center Professional Teaching Staff is on hand to provide campers with top quality instruction each day. At NIKE Junior Golf Camps we accommodate all skill levels; the junior player just discovering the game to the high school player trying to move up on the team. Our Full Day camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Under the watchful eye of the Learning Center’s instruction staff, every morning for three hours, the campers practice all aspects of their games- putting, chipping, bunker play and full-swing. Morning instruction is followed by lunch and then 9-hole course play with staff.

Half Day Camps

Half-day golf camps offer children, ages 5-15, a fun opportunity to experience the wonders of golf in a healthy and positive environment. Our half-day programs include 15 total hours of range instruction and are designed to create interest and foster development in golfers of all abilities. For three hours each day, campers sharpen their skills with the Learning Center staff, made up of PGA and LPGA Professionals. Strong emphasis is placed on the fundamentals—stance, grip, posture, full swing, rules & etiquette, etc. As the week unfolds, campers receive quality short-game instruction and by Friday, each NIKE junior golfer will see improvement in his or her golf game!
